The Fishing:
Our primary Target is the Striped Bass. They begin arriving in our fishery mid May, and continue to populate our waters into the fall, when they begin their trip south to their spawning grounds. Striped Bass are an absolutely gorgeous migratory fish that make the New England coast their summer home. They are a blast on the fly and on light tackle. We fish tidal estuaries (rivers), beach fronts, boulder fields, pristine sand flats and everything in between. Captain Michael Hart will customize your trip for any level of experience. Whether you’re a veteran fly angler looking for that trophy fish, new to the sport and seeking some pointers, or simply looking to get on the water and catch some fish… Your Captain offers full fly casting instruction for beginners. Let’s get out there!
The Boat:
Captain Michael Hart launches out of the Rowley River in a 20’ Key West Sportsman. It is an open center console, with a shallow draft that can get into some pretty skinny water, where big fish sometimes like to hide... It can accommodate up to three anglers comfortably (plus the Captain). Your Captain keeps the cooler stocked with snacks and soft drinks, and is happy to provide coffee upon request.
The Gear:
We offer a full compliment of fly rods from Orvis and Scott, reels by Cheeky Fishing. We also keep an assortment of conventional spinning tackle on board in the event the wind cranks up and the fish are still biting… You are of course welcome to bring your own gear if you would like, just be sure to let the Captain know ahead of time so he can make room on the boat and make sure it is properly suited for our fishery.
Conservation:
We are proud and active members of Stripers Forever, Captains For Clean Water, and The Salt Water Guide Association.
We always practice catch and release. It is absolutely critical the we respect and protect this fragile fishery. We will demonstrate proper fish handling, revival and release techniques.

The Following rates are for two anglers. A third is an additional $75.
Half Day (4hrs): $425
Full Day (6+hrs): $725
